Custom Stage Design for Live Events
GeoEvent designs and builds stages for concerts, festivals, conferences and brand events: decks and risers, truss and roof structures, LED and scenic surfaces, lighting and rigging. Planned around your venue, built by our own crew.
Tell us the venue and the show. We'll design the stage around it.
Share the date, the venue and roughly what happens on stage. A production tech replies in about an hour with options and pricing.

Every part of the stage, from the deck up
A stage has to look right from the back row and work for the crew behind it. We design the structure, the surfaces and the rig together so the show runs the way it was planned.
Stage decks & risers
Main stages, thrusts, runways, DJ and band risers, sized to the room and set at the right height for your sightlines. Stairs, skirting and ADA ramps included.
Truss & roof structures
Ground-supported truss, goal posts and roof systems for indoor and outdoor stages, with rigging plans that match the venue's points and load limits.
LED & scenic surfaces
LED walls, curved and custom-shaped screens, reflective decks and branded scenic, designed with content playback and camera angles in mind.
Lighting & rigging
Key light for presenters, looks for performers, and fixture positions planned into the structure from the start instead of added at load-in.
From site visit to strike
One team handles the design, the build and the show, so nothing gets lost between the drawing and the venue.
- 01
Site visit & brief
We measure the room, check ceiling height, rigging points, power and dock access, and learn what has to happen on stage.
- 02
Design & drawings
You get a stage plot with dimensions, sightlines, screen positions and a clear equipment list to review before anything is booked.
- 03
Venue approvals
We coordinate rigging, power, fire and insurance requirements with the venue so there are no surprises on show day.
- 04
Build, show, strike
Our crew loads in, runs the show with your team and takes everything down on schedule.
A stage that looks right and runs right
A stage can look great in a rendering and still cause problems once the doors open. We design for what the audience sees and what the crew needs behind it.
- Clear sightlines
- Stage height, screen elevation and seating are planned together so every seat sees the speaker and the screens.
- Built for the venue
- Ceiling height, columns, rigging points and load-in windows shape the design from the first drawing.
- Room to perform
- Entrances, exits, monitor positions and changeovers are worked out before the build, not during it.
- Right-sized budget
- Not every event needs a custom build. Clean staging, smart lighting and a well-sized screen often do the job.

Questions about stage design
How far in advance should I plan my stage design?
For concerts, festivals and larger corporate events, four to eight weeks gives time for a site visit, drawings and venue approvals. Simpler stages can often be turned around faster. Call 818-478-2009 to check your date.
Do you visit the venue before designing the stage?
Yes, whenever possible. We check room dimensions, ceiling height, rigging points, power, dock access and work hours. If a visit isn't practical, we work from venue drawings and photos and confirm the details with the venue team.
What do I get with a stage design?
A stage plot with dimensions and sightlines, screen and lighting positions, and an itemized list of decks, truss, video, lighting and labor, so you can see what is included before you commit.
Can you build stages outdoors?
Yes. We build outdoor stages with truss roofs, weather protection and generator power, and plan for wind, ground conditions and local permit requirements.
Can you work with my venue's rules and union requirements?
Yes. We coordinate with venue production teams on rigging, fire documentation, insurance and labor rules, and design around them from the start rather than scaling back at load-in.
Which areas do you cover?
Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Las Vegas and the surrounding areas. If your event is elsewhere, contact us and we will tell you whether we can support it.
